After months of rumors, Capcom finally confirmed what we have long suspected: a remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica is in the works.
The trailer sets things up nicely for Claire Redfield, who made her debut in Resident Evil 2. It shows her visiting an acquaintance at her home, which contains various clues for her to sift through.
As she leaves, however, she is met at the door by an unknown figure. It’s a stark difference from how the original Code: Veronica started, but it makes sense for the remake – the trailer seems to establish a much darker tone by comparison.
Capcom did not provide an exact release date for Resident Evil Veronica, but revealed the game will release sometime in 2027.
