With the original Halo game getting the remake treatment this summer, it seems that Halo Studios is also working on two additional remakes.
According to known leaker Rebs Gaming, remakes of Halo 2 and Halo 3 are currently in “early development.” There are supposedly some nods to the unannounced games early in Halo: Campaign Evolved, including the presence of Brutes, who do not appear until Halo 2.
Rebs Gaming also said the design of the Brutes is “inspired by Halo Reach concept art, and their weapons include the Brute plasma rifle and the Spiker.” He also reported there are new skulls that make Brutes appear in the original missions.
Lastly, Rebs Gaming said a new multiplayer project and the next mainline entry in the Halo series are in the works.
As with any leak, it’s wise to take this one with a grain of salt. Halo Studios has so far only announced Halo: Campaign Evolved, which is slated for release on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
