The Galaxy S26 is a solid smartphone, but it starts at $900, with tax pushing it around $1,000. Not everyone has that kind of money, which is where the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 come in.
Announced this past week, these are Samsung’s latest pair of midrange smartphones. They will go on sale in the U.S. on April 9.
With the Galaxy A57, Samsung slimmed things down to a 6.9mm profile and dropped the weight to 179 grams. The Galaxy A37 is a bit thicker at 7.4mm and a weight of 196 grams.
The Galaxy A57 sees some spec bumps from its predecessor. It now sports the latest Exynos 1680 processor and bumps the RAM to at least 8GB.
The Galaxy A37 also gets a few spec bumps. It features the Exynos 1480 processor, an improved 50MP primary rear camera, and a display that hits the same 1,900 nits of brightness as the Galaxy A57’s display.
Both phones feature 5,000mAh batteries, support for 45W wired charging, ultrawide and macro rear cameras, and an Android update policy that includes six years of Android OS upgrades and seven years of security patches.
The Galaxy A37 will start at $449.99 for 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, though there will be another option with a bit more RAM and double storage for $539.99.
