Xbox might be looking to shake up its Game Pass subscription service with a brand new tier.
According to an eagle-eyed fan on social media, the new tier is codenamed “Triton.” Unlike the current Essential, Premium, and Ultimate offerings, Triton reportedly only includes first-party games.
This is the alleged list of games:
- DOOM Eternal
- DOOM 64
- Dishonored 2
- Fable Anniversary
- Fallout 4
- Fallout 76
- Gears 5
- Halo 5: Guardians
- Halo Wars 2
- Hellblade
- Ori and the Blind Forest
- Psychonauts
- State of Decay 2
- The Elder Scrolls Online
- Retro Classics
It is possible this could replace the current Essential tier or be a lower-priced option. Because these are first-party titles, Microsoft wouldn’t need to spend money to get another studio’s games on the list.
On the flip side, Triton could just be an experiment that never sees the light of day. Now that Xbox has new leadership at the helm, it could be looking at different ways to shake things up in an attempt to revitalize the brand.
