Yesterday, Video game developer RedOctane Games unveiled Stage Tour, which got its first trailer.
As with most previous Guitar Hero games, Stage Tour is playable by yourself or with others as a band. In addition to drums, guitar, and microphone, the game will also accept input from a keyboard and mouse.
As for the songs, RedOctane said the song list is still being finalized, with more information coming “soon.” Notably, it does not sound like RedOctane will release new songs in the form of DLC. Instead, the game will take a Fortnite-like approach and offer regular special events.
“We want to evolve the game alongside the fans who support it,” reads the announcement post. “Improve it. Expand it. Keep it alive.”
Shifting to the instruments, RedOctane said there will be a guitar bundle arriving at some point. You will also be able to purchase a drum set, along with wired and wireless microphones.
Launch and pricing details will arrive sometime during the summer. When it does launch, Stage Tour will be a digital-only affair, at least to start. RedOctane said it’s exploring the possibility of a physical release, though it’s not guaranteed.
