As part of a renewed focus on the Xbox brand, Xbox head Asha Sharma announced Microsoft’s Copilot AI will not be a part of the brand moving forward.
On X earlier this week, Sharma said Xbox promoted existing employees and brought in new personnel to help pivot the brand back to one more amenable to players and developers. As a result, Microsoft is “winding down Copilot on mobile” and halted work on Copilot for the Xbox.
All of this comes at a time when Xbox isn’t looked at too fondly. Sharma has issued several statements on the matter and said she wants to focus more on the core attributes of Xbox.
