Earlier today, Nintendo announced Splatoon Raiders, a spin-off of the Splatoon series, is releasing on the Switch 2 on July 23.
You play as a mechanic who teams up with Splatoon 3‘s Deep Cut band to hunt for treasure across the Spirhalite Islands. You can customize your character’s appearance and upgrade your weapons as you progress through the game.
Although Splatoon Raiders is primarily a single-player affair, the game includes a multiplayer component. This allows you to play with three others either locally or online to take on different raids.
Splatoon Raiders is the latest entry in the Splatoon series and the first since 2022’s Splatoon 3. Nintendo has not said anything yet about the next mainline entry, though Splatoon Raiders could buy the company some extra time.
