It’s looking like this summer is gonna get hotter for Samsung as the company gears up to release two new foldable smartphones.
According to a report from the Korea Economic Times, Samsung will hold its next Unpacked event in London, England on July 22. That is when the company will reportedly announce the Galaxy Z Fold and the rumored Galaxy Z Fold “Wide.”
The report did not mention the Galaxy Z Flip 8, but it would be weird to not see an announcement for it. Galaxy Z Fold and Flip smartphones have usually been announced alongside each other for years.
Unlike the Galaxy Z Fold, which is more of a book-style foldable, the Wide is supposed to be closer to a passport in terms of the look. Think of it as Samsung’s version of the original Google Pixel Fold.
We don’t yet know what the specs are for any of the foldable phones. However, it’s probably safe to say they will have Samsung’s version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, at least 12GB of RAM, and at least 256GB of storage.
You can also expect them to cost quite a bit. Sales notwithstanding, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 normally sells for a penny shy of $2,000.
