For the first time in what feels like forever, Motorola is back in the U.S. tablet space with the Moto Pad.
Don’t expect the Moto Pad to be a competitor to the likes of Apple’s iPad Pro or Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Still, it should be more than enough for regular everyday use.
The Moto Pad features an 11-inch display with a 2.5K resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. Flanking the display on either side are quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
Under the hood, the Moto Pad features the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and 5G connectivity. The 7,040mAh battery should be enough for 12 hours of video streaming.
The tablet will be available starting on April 30 through T-Mobile and its prepaid subsidiary, Metro by T-Mobile. Motorola hasn’t yet revealed the price, though the specs point to a relatively affordable option.
This will be Motorola’s first tablet in the U.S. in almost 15 years. The company most recently released the Xoom 2, known as the Droid Xyboard outside of Europe, in December 2011.
