If you have almost $10,000 burning in your pocket, this is certainly one way to alleviate the pain.
In celebration of Apple’s 50th anniversary, smartphone customization studio Caviar is selling JOBS, a custom version of the iPhone 17 Pro. The front of the phone remains the same as it always has been, but then we get to the sides.
Based on the renders, there will be custom engraving above and below the power button. Above the button will be engraving that shows which number the iPhone is. Considering Caviar is only making nine of these, each iPhone will have a slightly different engraving.
Below the power button will be “Apple 50” text. Again, this is in reference to Apple’s 50th anniversary.
Around back is where Caviar went wild. While the lower rectangular glass is black, the rest of the body is a dark matte silver. In the middle of the Apple logo is what Caviar claims is a “genuine fragment” of former Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ famous turtleneck sweater.
Alongside this JOBS phone is what Caviar calls the “iPhone 2007” model.
This model goes hog-wild with its engravings, which Caviar says replicate the original iPhone’s internal circuitry. In the middle of the Apple logo around back is a literal piece of the original iPhone’s motherboard.
The JOBS iPhone costs $9,630, while the iPhone 2007 costs $10,770. Caviar is also selling simpler “Gold Apple” and “Black Apple” custom iPhones for $8,200 and $6,770, respectively.
