After only two months of early access for PUBG: Blindspot, the spin-off shooter will shut down on March 30 at 2:00am Pacific.
“After careful consideration, we have come to the conclusion that we are no longer able to sustainably provide the level of experience we set out to deliver through Early Access,” reads the announcement posted on Steam.
ARC Team also said it tried to “improve the experience and move the game forward.” However, it was unable to find that path forward, hence the shutdown.
Released in early February, PUBG: Blindspot was a free-to-play 5v5 top-down tactical shooter that was an offshoot of the main PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. However, the game failed to attract a large enough audience to sustain it.
That could be due to the intense competition in the space. Some juggernauts include games like Arc Raiders, Helldivers 2, and the recently-released Marathon.
