Those worried over Dispatch getting the censorship treatment on Xbox can rest easy.
When asked on social media about it following the announcement of Dispatch headed to Xbox Series S and Series X, developer AdHoc Studio said, “The Xbox version of Dispatch will be the same full release as the original PC and PlayStation versions.”
As for updates on the Switch version, AdHoc said, “We’re still actively working with Nintendo on an update and will let you know as soon as it’s ready.”
The PC version earned its M rating due to nudity, sexual content, and some adult-oriented gestures. However, the Switch version censored those scenes.
There has been a back and forth between AdHoc and Nintendo over which one censored the scenes. Regardless of which company was at fault, customer backlash was swift and led to AdHoc apologizing for the censored content.
