Sales of Google’s smartphones continue to increase

Written by:

Lest you think that Google’s Pixel line of smartphones isn’t performing well, recent numbers seem to indicate otherwise.

According to data from Counterpoint Research, Pixel sales in the U.S. hit 28 percent this year when compared to last year’s sales. This allowed the company to hit 6.1 percent in market share for the $600+ phone category.

That might not sound like much, but Google only had 0.1 percent of that market in 2022.

Apple remains the overall smartphone market leader in the U.S., with Samsung remaining as the Android smartphone market leader. Still, the data is showing incremental gains by Google as it continues to claw away at the likes of Motorola, OnePlus, and others.
