Apple fans, mark your calendars for September 9

With a little under a week left until September rolls around, Apple announced what will likely be its upcoming iPhone event for September 9.

Starting at 1:00pm Eastern, the event is rumored to feature Apple’s first foldable iPhone. In terms of the aesthetics, it’s rumored to take on a similarly passport-y look to that of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8.

It’s also likely to carry a high price tag. Competing foldables from other companies cost anywhere between $1,800 and $2,100, so don’t expect the foldable iPhone to be anywhere near affordable.

Siri’s AI rebuild is also likely to get a decent amount of screen time. Re-announced during WWDC back in June, Siri AI has been rumored to be at the center of Apple’s vision of a unified, cross-platform ecosystem. Some rumored examples include an updated HomePod Mini, a smart display, and upcoming iPads.

Apple is also likely to announce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, along with new Apple Watch models. We might not see the regular iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and iPhone Air 2 until spring 2027.
