On social media platform X earlier today, TheGhostOfHope said he is complying with legal demands from Activision that will prevent him from leaking information on future Call of Duty titles.
According to TheGhostOfHope, otherwise known as Hope, he will still maintain his social media presence. However, he will no longer discuss anything related to leaks or confidential information.
“Still gonna stick around and chat about Official Call of Duty info and anything not related to leaks/confidential information,” wrote Hope. “Cheers for these past few years.”
The official Call of Duty account on X responded in a rather interesting, but expected, fashion.
“Nah. Even when leaks are wrong, they still hurt the people building the game and mess with player expectations,” reads the response.
Hope was considered a reliable source of information on older, newer, and unannounced Call of Duty projects. More recently, he reported that Activision is currently working on a standalone Call of Duty Zombies title for next-generation consoles.
