Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive The Duskbloods will not release this year, announced developer FromSoftware. Instead, the game will now release sometime in 2027.
FromSoftware held a network test back in August, when the studio noted players were interested in the “core concepts of the game, including combat, strategic depth, and player expression.” As a result, the studio is delaying the game to make adjustments to “game rules and balancing.”
While that may be true, maybe FromSoftware also wanted to steer clear of Grand Theft Auto VI and the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Both games are sure to eat up many players’ time, leaving very little for other games to contend with.
FromSoftware announced The Duskbloods in April 2025 during a Switch 2 showcase. Eventually, it became clear the game would be a multiplayer experience instead of a traditional single-player affair.
