It’s not a good idea to make bomb threats

Written by:

People are allowed to have their own opinions and views of companies such as Nintendo. What is typically not a good idea is to turn those thoughts into a bomb threat.

As reported by Automaton, Japanese authorities arrested a 27-year-old man for sending bomb threats to the gaming company. The letters allegedly contained messages like “I’m going to blow you all up” and “My plans cannot be thwarted.”

According to authorities, the man also wrote he’d “already planted multiple bombs” on Nintendo’s premises.

Nintendo reported the instances to the authorities on March 16, after which a search was conducted. While nothing was found, the man was arrested and admitted to sending the bomb threats.

Police have charged the man with suspected obstruction of business. They are currently investigating the motive behind the bomb threats.

Strangely enough, this is not the first time Nintendo has dealt with bomb threats.

Back in 2024, authorities arrested another 27-year-old man after he threatened to bomb several of Nintendo’s events and harm employees.
