After 12 years of releases, Call of Duty is readying to leave the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One behind.
Responding to recent rumors, the official Call of Duty account on X confirmed the next entry in the shooter franchise will not release on the PlayStation 4. One might assume the Xbox One will suffer the same fate.
It’s been a long time coming for the series.
Call of Duty: Ghosts, released on the two older consoles in 2013, ran just fine on them. Fast forward to last year, and Black Ops 7 on the previous-generation systems compared to the current PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X consoles is night and day.
