If you were hoping for a redesigned Apple Watch this year, don’t hold your breath.
During a live Q&A call on Bloomberg yesterday, reporter Mark Gurman said he does not expect any major design changes for this year’s Apple Watch models. The most recent redesign was in 2022 with the Apple Watch Ultra. It featured a boxier aesthetic, chunky buttons, and smaller bezels around the display.
As for the standard Apple Watch, the most recent aesthetic refresh was in September 2024 with the Apple Watch Series 10, which featured a larger OLED display and slimmer bezels.
Over the years, we’ve seen various rumors regarding Apple Watch redesigns. These include a revamped “Apple Watch X” with a thinner casing and magnetic band attachment system. However, these rumors have not panned out into anything substantial so far.
We will see what the Series 12 has in store when Apple reportedly unveils it later this year.
